We all know that the initial popularity explosion for Pokemon GO has stabilized. It’s even gotten to the point where Pokemon GO is no longer the number 1 app. Well, about that. It appears that Pokemon GO has reclaimed its throne at the top of the app list. And there’s really only one possible reason this has happened.

The Halloween Event is the only difference between then and now. If you’ve been missing out on it, from now until November 1, there are a lot of neat things going on in Pokemon GO. We’ve already talked about all of the changes here, but in short, there are a lot more ghosts and candy to go around. The promise of easier evolutions and ghost hunting must have appealed to the Niantic’s fan base. And honestly, that’s good news for everyone involved. Since this event seems to be so successful, then there’s a higher chance for new ones in the future.

I don’t know about you, but I’m rooting for a winter holiday event. I could use a few extra Lapras.
