Pokemon GO started off slow in the updates department. It took Niantic Labs too much time to get even basic fixes out the door, let alone new features. Now, however, they’ve been on a roll with updates. New features are being implemented left and right. And even though we are still without a lot of needed features, there’s always something new in the pipeline.

Now, though, the flow of updates could be cranked to full blast. There have been several hints dropped lately about upcoming features. These relate to all kinds of expected things: trading, battling, legendary Pokemon, and even the inclusion of the next generation. Niantic Labs must be hard at work.

Lately, both John Hanke and Mike Quigley from Niantic Labs had interviews where updates were talked about. Both mentioned big updates coming, even before the year’s end. Unfortunately, they didn’t reveal exactly what to expect. Then again, I suppose it’s bad form to tell us what they’re giving us for Christmas.
