Niantic Labs has been cryptic about what’s coming up for Pokemon GO. All they’ve really said is that some pretty big updates are coming. Now, it seems some of their plans have come to light. According to the official Pokemon Twitter account, Pokemon GO is going to be seeing new Pokemon. Unfortunately, we don’t know more until December 12.

This move definitely debunks the supposed ‘Starbucks Leak‘ that implied generation 2 would be out today. Also, we don’t exactly have any proof that this tweet infers generation 2 at all. While that is the most logical choice, it could easily be talking about an event to score legendary Pokemon. However, I do feel they’d try to be a bit more epic about releasing those guys.

Regardless, we can do one of two things now. We can either dig into the internet to see what the dataminers have found, or we can wait for December 12. It’s your call.
