The numbers are in. Niantic is losing weekly users. The good people at Survey Monkey Intelligence found that Pokemon GO has dropped almost ten million weekly users from its peak: from around 40 million to 30 million. In all, this accounts for a 22.7% loss.
I know what you’re thinking. “That’s what they get for alienating their player base.” Well, not really. In truth, that’s just the way things typically go for this kind of media, especially mobile gaming. However, Niantic will need to be on top of their game to keep a solid player base. An update is expected for the very near future, so perhaps they’ll start implementing some nice incentives to wayward gamers.
