It’s no surprise that Pokemon GO broke records. It’s popularity has been explosive. It is so prevalent now, it is cool to both love and hate Pokemon GO. Also, the servers can barely handle all of the players. What is surprising is how hard it broke those records.

Pokemon GO has blown all competition out of the water. Just seven days after launch, Sensor Tower reports that Pokemon GO reached 7.2 million downloads. Its closes competitor is Angry Birds 2, which reached 2.2 million. That’s over three times as popular. To top it all off, the game is still spreading like wildfire.
