Niantic Labs is doing just fine. Even after their number of regular users normalized, they are still making plenty of money. The figure Newzoo reports is around $2.1 million every day. That’s huge for a privately held company without investors. And keep in mind, all of that money is from microtransactions.
This is great news for the longevity of Pokemon GO. As we’ve said before, maintaining the peak number of players was never the goal. Mobile games best perform by attracting a smaller number of dedicated players. Gaining $2 million a day from them will help keep Pokemon GO relevant for years to come.
