Understandably, Niantic has implemented functions to ban cheaters. One of the prime ways to deal with them has been to look for GPS hacks. Players who have randomly logged multiple different locations in a short time have been banned. Unfortunately, totally legit players have felt Niantic’s wrath.

The IBTimes reports that many players have been hit with an unexpected ban. Specifically, this have been a common case for those traveling. Players who have been hopping on planes for their careers, for the military, or even just for vacation have been smashed with the ban hammer. Whether or not these actions are reversible is yet to be seen. For their sake, I hope that it is.
