In July, Russia released warnings against playing Pokemon GO in churches voting stations, or private property. YouTube vlogger, Ruslan Sokolovsky, decided to make a statement and put those warnings to the test. He made a video of himself playing the popular game at a cathedral in Yekaterinberg. It didn’t take long for things to turn sour.
Soon after, authorities searched his home. They then claimed to have found evidence that Sokolovsky intended to attack the faith of the people. That is pretty much as serious as it sounds. Upon conviction, Sokolovsky could be facing 5 years in prison for this stunt. Needless to say, that’s much worse than an accidental ban from Pokemon GO. So yeah, once again, be careful out there, everyone.
