The Silph Road has done it again. By meticulously data mining Pokemon GO, they claim to have found code for shiny variants. If you don’t know, shiny Pokemon are palette-swapped versions with some kind of visual change from the others. Also, they are extraordinarily rare. As in, grind for days rare.

Some other upcoming changes were seen in the coding as well, but nothing is as intriguing as adding in shiny variants. Surely, they’ll be just as crazy rare to find as they are in the other Pokemon games. And if that’s true, then we’re sure to find some diehard players taking to the streets to get their hands on some. Because in the end, the more rare something is, the more value we put on it.
