Last Halloween, Niantic held an event that increased the spawn rate for Ghost Pokemon, which included Ghastly, Haunter, and Gengar. If you enjoyed the event, have no fear. It has already been confirmed that another Halloween event will be coming in 2017 for Pokemon Go players. With that, it’s very likely that Misdreavus will be joining the other three ghosts during the event. It has also been rumored that Dark Pokemon will be receiving an increased spawn rate during the event as well, but is that all?

I mean sure, getting more Ghost and Dark Pokemon is certainly awesome, but wouldn’t this be a great time for Niantic to release some Gen 3 Pokemon into the game? Think about it. Generation 3 doubled the amount of Ghost Pokemon in the game. We were introduced to Shuppet, Banette, Mega Banette, Duskull, and Dusclops! That’s only an additional five Pokemon that would be added to the game, but it would be incredibly cool if Niantic added this as a part of their Halloween event.

Keep in mind everybody, this Generation 3 release has not been confirmed and is only based on speculation at this point. Generation 3 source code has been discovered recently by Pokemon Go dateminers, which is certainly a good sign, however it does not mean we will be getting more Ghost Pokemon next month. Hopefully Niantic will come out and make an official announcement. At this point, I don’t care if the rumor is true or not. I just want a confirmed answer so I know if I should get hyped or not!
