Dutch authorities are taking Niantic, the creators of Pokemon GO, to court. This decision is over the fact that many protected areas and beaches have seen a lot more traffic since the game’s launch. And, of course, where there are large crowds of people, there is often a lot of damage.
Officials claimed that they did try to discuss the issue with Niantic without taking them to court. However, after not hearing back, they feel this is their only choice. On top of banning Pokemon from protected areas, they area also shooting for a curfew of the adorable creatures. If they get their way, Pokemon will only come out between the hours of 7 am and 11 pm.
The court date is set for October 11.
