As you all know, the Legendary dogs of Pokemon are now on the move. After spending a month in their previous locations, Entei, Suicune and Raikou have all found a new place to call home until October 31. For the month of October, players in the Americas will have their shot to catch the Legendary Fire-type Pokemon, Entei. Players in the UK will have their opportunity to grab Suicune, while Asia gets to hang out with Raikou.
Unlike the Legendary birds, these puppies will be switching locations every single month until the end of November. Seeing as how the Americas have been dealing with Raikou throughout September and are now seeing Entei, it looks like November will be all about Suicune. Now it’s time to dive a little bit deeper into this update and make a few comparisons that really bug me.
Just to start things out here, I’m not a huge fan of this monthly change. For one, I feel like it’s a very long time period to have a Legendary available. With the birds, they were everywhere in the world, but for a much shorter period of time. I understand that not every single raid is going to be a Legendary dog like it was for Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos, but a month is a pretty significant amount of time.
As far as the region-specific stuff goes, I’m a pretty big fan of that. Even though the time period is stretched out for a significantly longer period of time, I do think that having region-specific Legendaries is a cool implementation. It makes each area feel unique and truly mimics that patterns of movement that we could see if these Legendary beasts were in fact real creatures. We will see what’s in store for us after Entei, Suicune, and Raikou, but that won’t be until December at least. For now, take some time to tame these dogs and we’ll cross the next Legendary bridge when we get to it!
