Feebas, the exceedingly rare (and kinda ugly) Pokémon, is coming to Pokémon GO in a special research event.

In an announcement made by Pokémon.com instead of the usual Niantic website, We are told about a special Limited Research Event taking place on January 19, 2019. In it, players will have the chance to capture the rare Feebas in its shiny form.

Feebas has a history of rarity. Originating in the third generation of the Hoenn region, you could only capture the Pokémon in a particular spot during a particular weather pattern. And even then, they were uncommon.

• Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: January 19, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. UTC
• The Americas: January 19, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PST
• The Asia-Pacific region: January 19, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. JST
