In a previous article, we talked about how the Halloween event could be introducing players to some Generation 3 Pokemon, and it looks like we were spot on! The event started on October 20 and will be ending on November 2. This will give players plenty of time to start wracking up some brand new additions to their team, but be aware that the majority of these Pokemon are not very strong. The best Pokemon in the event is still Gengar, so if you’re looking for a powerhouse, Gengar, Haunter and Ghastly are still your best bet.
The new Pokemon joining the game from Generation 3 include Shuppet, Banette, Duskull, Dusclops, and Sableye. These new Pokemon, as well as the other Dark and Ghost Pokemon in the game, will have an increased drop rate until the end of the Halloween event. If you’re on the hunt, now would absolutely be the time to start building up your Pokedex. Despite recent trends of Niantic being fairly lazy, they actually decided to do something else pretty cool for this event. Not only will these new Generation 3 Pokemon be released, but their Shiny versions will be a part of the event as well.
Even though the event does have an increased drop rate, it will still be extremely hard to come across the Shiny variants of these Pokemon. Don’t expect to go on a 15-minute walk and catch a couple of Shinies. Regardless of the difficult, it’s very cool that Niantic decided to release the Shiny versions as well for players and hopefully users can get some new and unique Pokemon before November 2.
