Meltan, the cute little metal Pokémon is back again, this time with increased Shiny odds! Niantic announced a special event time frame where a Shiny Meltan is more likely to appear in Mystery Boxes.

Mystery Boxes can be obtained from transferring Pokémon from the Pokémon Go mobile game into Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee and Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu. Normally, users had to wait a full seven days between opening boxes before they can open another. But during this time frame, that limit will be decreased to only three days.

Time Frame:

• Begins: April 24, Wednesday, at 1:00 PM
• Ends: May 5, Sunday, at 1:00 PM

Features:

• Meltan and Shiny Meltan are more likely to appear in Mystery Boxes
• Mystery Box Opening limit reduced from 7 days to 3 days.

Meltan can evolve into Melmetal, bringing that cute little creature into the buff-zone.
