It’s been a fantastic year for Pokémon GO players. We’ve seen new legendaries, new generations, Adventure Sync, Community Days, and even Person on Person battles. What a better way to break in the new year than with Lugia and Ho-Oh?

The official Pokémon GO Twitter has announced a new Research Breakthrough for January and February of the coming year. During such, you will have a chance to encounter a number of legendaries, including the second generation pair.

The year 2019 is around the corner, and it’s already looking to be legendary! When you reach a Research Breakthrough in January and February, you’ll have the chance to encounter several Legendary Pokémon, including Lugia and Ho-Oh!

Since the new year isn’t here just yet, details are largely unknown at the time. This will change soon enough of course. If you’re missing one of the previous, limited time Legendaries, now is your chance.
