While playing Pokemon GO in a Sarasota park, 20-year-old Guillermo Cava-Nunez was approached by Sarasota County deputies. He explained to police that he had plans to meet his girlfriend at the park to catch Pokemon. He then agreed to allow the deputies to search his vehicle. That didn’t end well for him.
Of course, the deputies found something criminal. In particular, they found drugs, a lot of them. There were 66 Xanax bars, over six grams of marijuana, two grams of hash oil, and a little less than a gram of cocaine. There were also rolling papers and a scale.
After the discovery, Cava-Nunez admitted the drugs were his. He was then charged with possession with intent to sell for the Xanax and possession for the rest.
Bail is set for $11,500.
