So, do you remember yesterday when we talked about how crazy it was that Moltres was taken down by a team of four? It looks like it takes even less. Today, a team of only three trainers was able to take down the Legendary bird, and they did it fairly easily. Using a combination of high CP Golems and Tyranitars, the bird fell for them without leaving much of a scratch.

In addition to that team, we have some even more impressing news. Using the exact same strategy with Golems and Tyranitars, a team of two was able to get Moltres below 10% HP before the time ran out on them. If they had been able to pump a few more levels into each of their Pokemon, I think they would have been able to break the record. Moltres is so simple to take down, mainly because of the last few events. We recently had a Rock-type event that increased their likelihood of spawning, as well as the release of Lugia, who has the move Hydro Pump.

Although Water-type moves will still do quite a bit of damage, there’s no beating the Rock standard that has been put in place. They key to beating Moltres is as simple as chucking boulders at it. If you haven’t been able to lock down your Moltres just yet, take an hour or two and try it out. It’s really not that difficult.
