Pokemon GO hasn’t exactly been crazy with updates since its launch. For comparison, Overwatch came out about a month earlier and has already seen a new character, map, modes, and even a special seasonal event. For Pokemon GO, we’ve mostly just had existing features removed from the game.

And Bans.

However, some crafty Redditor has found some interesting additions to Pokemon GO’s coding. There are a few lines that refer to special Incense items. These are named Incense Spicy, Incense Cool, and Incense Floral in the coding. The first thought is that these may attract specific types of Pokemon instead of just Pokemon in general. More importantly, though, is the find of a line reading “activity_catch_legend_pokemon.” Here’s hoping that applies specifically for legendary Pokemon, like the legendary birds. Finally, there are four entries in the code for Trading: Search, Offer, Response, Result. So hopefully, the trading mechanic is landing sooner rather than later.

There were other findings in the code, but the above are the most legible and interesting. If you’re anything like me, you’ll be keeping your eyes on Pokemon GO in the coming weeks for big changes.
