With the year starting to wrap up, it’s hard to believe that Niantic still has some big announcements to make before 2018.
Many fans grew concerned with developer Niantic announced their production of a Harry Potter AR game. They believed that this would steal company time and efforts away from Pokemon GO. Niantic later made a statement reassuring fans that they have nothing to worry about.
A few days ago, the Niantic Support Reddit account posted a comment telling fans to be patient.
“We still have more information to share about upcoming feature changes, but it may be a few more days. Stay tuned.”
While the Pokemon GO Global Catch Challenge began this week, this wasn’t really an announcement regarding new features.
Some believe this to mean a Christmas event featuring Delibird, or a New Years event relating to Ho-oh. This is mostly due to the recent update that added those Pokemon’s character models into the game, while they themselves remain uncatchable at this time.
Regardless, this is primarily speculation. The only reliable facts we know right now is that Niantic has more to announce regarding Pokemon GO and that they haven’t done so yet. Be sure to check back here often for when that news breaks.
