Don’t believe the hype! Don’t believe your Facebook or Twitter feeds! So far, there are no verifiable stories where legendary Pokemon have been caught. It is true that YouTuber NesstendoYT found lines of code mentioning Pokemon such as Mew, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. But this absolutely does not mean anyone has found one.

Actually, it’s likely that, at least as of now, there is no real way to catch these holy grails of Pokemon GO. Dorkly has claimed that there’s is actually no possible way to obtain them. The best guess is that the developers are either waiting to release them to the public, or there are plans to host events where a specific legendary can be caught. Unfortunately for us, we’re going to have to wait a bit longer to find out for sure.
