If you have been participating in Raid Battles lately, you’ve probably encountered the green screen bug at least once. After defeating the boss, players would normally enter the capture challenge. With this bug, the boss is defeated and instead of immediately going to the capture scenario, your device will green screen. The only way around this is to restart the application and hopefully you will still have the chance to capture the boss.
Another major issue is surrounding the CP of the Pokemon in the Raid Battle. Players have reported that after restarting their application, the Pokemon comes back with a brand new CP. This is just a bug and the real CP has been determined prior to you restarting your Pokemon Go application. If you want to know the real CP, you must pay attention to the dead Pokemon. After defeating the Raid, pay attention to where the CP starts dropping from. The number where the descent begins is the bosses true CP.
This bug is extremely annoying and unfortunately there’s nothing we can really do about it. This is happening to players all around the world and it has nothing to do with your phone or app. This issue is server-side and it’s up to Niantic to come up with a fix quickly. I have no idea what caused this error in the first place, seeing as how Raid Battles have been fairly successful up to this point. Hopefully the company can get everything figured out shortly and players will be able to complete Raid Battles normally.
