Ultra Unlock Weeks
To express thanks to everyone that participated in the Pokémon GO Fest 2020 event, and as a reward for completing their challenges, three Ultra Unlock Events will take place this month. Each lasting seven days, running immediately after each other, each event will feature a theme and a slew of Pokémon following that theme. Here are the details.
- Dragon Week: July 31 – August 7. This week, Dragon-type Pokémon will be center stage. Expect to see Pokémon like Gible, Exeggutor, and even a Shiny Deino. In Five-Star Raid Battles, you’ll find Rayquaza, the legendary dragon.
- Enigma Week: August 7 – August 14. This time, it’s Psychic-type Pokémon! The listed example was Elgyem, but you can also expect to see the strange alien Pokémon Deoxys in Five-Star Raid Battles. If you’re lucky, you might find a Shiny Staryu.
- Unova Week: August 14 – August 21. As the name implies, this week will feature Pokémon from the Gen 5 region. This includes Cottonee, Emolga, Bouffalant, and more. Usually not in the U.S., Boufallant will appear in New York City and the surrounding area. Look at Five-Star Raid Battles and you’ll see the man-made insect Genesect. The Shiny to see here is Roggenrola.
We hope that’s enough to satisfy everyone. It’ll certainly keep us busy. Remember to practice safe social distancing when going out and to wear a mask in public. Good luck, trainers!
