Detective Pikachu is less than a week away. And what a better way to promote the film than with a Pokémon GO crossover! Niantic has announced a special event, along with some special outfits to commemorate the movie’s release.

From Today (May 7) at 1 pm until Friday, May 17 at 1 pm, a number of bonus features will be present in Pokémon GO. This includes certain Pokémon appearing more commonly, more experience, special items, and even the potential to be photobombed by Pikachu himself.

• New Field Research themed after the movie
• Themed avatar items added to the style shop
