Strap on your phone clips and break out the battery packs, Niantic has announced this year’s Pokémon Go Fest! And this year, it’s taking place around the world.
Like the years before it, Pokémon Go Fest will take place in Chicago, Illinois. But now it’s spanning to other countries, like Dortmund, Germany and an unannounced city in Asia. As such, this event will be officially known as the Pokémon Go Summer Tour.
The main event remains in Chicago, however. Taking place from June 13 through 16, paid participants can visit Grant Park to participate in a variest of Pokémon Go related events and activities. Not to mention the surplus of wild Pokémon to catch.
Tickets will be available soon via the ticketing system built into the Pokémon Go app. Users can purchase a single-day ticket for $25 and they are limited to a single ticket per person. This is to help spread the days out evenly and reduce crowding. All days offer the same experience, according to the official event page. So don’t worry about missing out.
Tickets for Pokémon Go Fest Chicago will go on sale through a new ticketing system accessible within the Pokémon Go app later this month, according to Niantic. More information on the Chicago Go Fest is available at the Pokémon Go website.
In July, the event will relocate to Dortmund, Germany, where another four-day event will be held. German participants can expect the same experience. And after that, China.
Like the years before, this is sure to be a fantastic time for Pokémon Go fans of all kinds.
