If you were one of the poor souls that attended Pokemon Go Fest in Chicago, you have probably received your money back, $100 worth of PokeCoins for your account, and a brand new Lugia. The thing about Lugia is, it’s a little broken. A lot of people like to check the IV for their Pokemon, which basically tells you how good or bad its stats are. With the Lugia from Pokemon Go Fest, you can’t really check its IV.
Well, not at first. There is an easy fix for this glitch so you’ll be able to check quite easily. People have reported that after they Power Up their Lugia, they are now able to properly check its IV. I’m not quite sure why it was an issue in the first place, but at least it was an easy fix. Niantic really screwed up Pokemon Go Fest, and if they messed this whole thing up to, I can’t imagine anybody would play the game anymore.
Hopefully Niantic cleans up their act and gets back on track here. Giving out these rewards is a great bonus, but at the end of the day people paid for something that they just couldn’t deliver. Make sure you spend your free PokeCoins on all sorts of great stuff and power your Lugia up to incredible levels. You all deserve it after such a terrible day in Chicago.
