Everyone is patiently awaiting the next big update from Pokemon GO. In the meantime, Niantic Labs has been busy with minor bug fixes and such. One of the biggest fixes involved egg hatching within the game. Unfortunately, they didn’t make it any easier.
Niantic claims to have corrected an error regarding GPS drift. Before, simply connecting to the location satellites would have your in-game avatar moving around while the signal corrects itself. That way, all players were getting in some free progress toward hatching eggs. It wasn’t by any significant margin, but every little bit helps.
This correction makes it a bit harder to hatch our eggs. Hopefully, you won’t even notice the update. Worst case scenario, it just feels like it takes slightly longer to hatch eggs than you remember. Regardless, it’s nice to see that Niantic is still interested in keeping up with the occasional fixes and updates.
