Good news comes to trainers looking for more regional variants! A recent update is introducing new Galarian and Alolan Pokémon to the list of potential egg results. As long as you got the egg from a friend, that is.

According to a post on the Pokémon GO blog, if you receive a 7 km egg from a gift someone sent you, it has a chance to hatch as one of these many new regional variants. 

Here’s the full list of new regional variants:

• Galarian Meowth
• Galarian Zigzagoon
• Galarian Darumaka
• Galarian Stunfisk
• Alolan Sandshrew
• Alolan Vulpix
• Alolan Diglett
• Alolan Meowth
• Alolan Geodude
• Alolan Grimer

That’s it! This isn’t a time limited event, or anything like that. You can take all the time you need, just as long as you have people to send gifts to you every so often.

Our favorites are Galarian Meowth and Alolan Grimer. One looks like a scruffy old man and the other like a goopy rave.
