Legendary Pokemon haven’t been added into Pokemon GO yet. There was one glitchy moment where a couple were accidentally found, but Niantic corrected that by taking them away. In the meantime, there has been a lot of speculation and plenty of rumors about when and how these Pokemon will be added into the game. The most recent of these rumors is that they’ll be tossed in as massive raid bosses.

The idea is that these legendary Pokemon will appear in certain areas as huge bosses. Players in the specified zone will have to work together to take them down and catch them. If that’s the case, then it’s a guarantee Mew Two would be one of the fights to come. That may not be the case with the legendary birds.

The legendary birds, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are directly linked with the three teams: Mystic, Instinct, and Valor respectively. That could mean that each team may only get their respective bird. But the only way to tell for sure is to wait and see.
