Get ready to lose track of both Space and Time as this year’s Ultra Unlock events kick off. Legendaries and powerful Shiny variations are upon us. And it begins tomorrow.
The Ultra Unlock event is broken up into two parts. Part one has the theme of “Time,” and part two follows “Space.” Each part will be its own limited time event, with unique Pokémon and items to find and unlock.
Part One: Time
Start Date: Friday, July 23, 2021
End Date: August 3, 2021
The legendary Dialga has appeared and is disrupting the natural flow of time. They will appear in five-star raid battles and Pokémon from different eras will appear more frequently in the wild. This includes the once-fossilized Cranidos and Shieldon, which will also have a chance to be Shiny! There will also be timed research events that reward theme-relevent Pokémon.
Part Two: Space
Start Date: Friday, August 6, 2021
End Date: Tuesday, August 17, 2021
Just when you thought all was safe again, Palkia will appear to distort the realm of space. The legendary Pokémon will appear in five-star raid battles, and Pokémon will start appearing in parts of the world they don’t normally. Haracross will even appear globally in three-star raid battles, a Pokémon GO first. If you’re lucky, they might even be shiny.
Part Three: ???
Start Date: Friday, August 20, 2021
End Date: Tuesday, August 31, 2021
We don’t know what will happen next! Niantic seems to be implying that this will be a Hoopa-themed event, but they’ve not given any details at this time, only the dates. Stay tuned.
