The world of Pokemon invokes many emotions. It comes off as a world that’s way cooler than real life, but in reality, it’s actually a pretty terrifying place when you take away the cartoon animation. Pokemon that we believe to be cute and cuddly are actually pretty frightening in real life, especially if the world is over-run with them. While some are still pretty cute, others look like what nightmares are made of.

Of course, all these images are simply concept art, and the art style varies. Whether the real life versions are terrifying, cute, or badass, I’m definitely more than fine with living in a world without these monsters roaming around. I’ll stick to my Rottweiler as my house pet, though I wouldn’t argue against an Arcanine.

Anyway, these real life renditions of Pokemon are terrifyingly brilliant. Lickitung might be in my next nightmare, but it was still worth the watch.
