Magikarp has always been known as both a waste of space, water, air and waste of a Pokeball, unless you’re out farming candy for a Gyarados that is. Anyway, for the most part, Magikarp has never been taken seriously as a Pokemon, and unless you have a soft spot for outcasts, you probably aren’t interested in catching Magikarp. Although Magikarp has been underappreciated for many years, it has finally gotten its chance.
Pokemon: Magikarp Jump is now available for both iPhone and Android devices. Magikarp Jump is pretty self-explanatory honestly. The gameĀ revolves around catching Magikarp and training them to be the best jumpers possible. Although Magikarp may not be a strong Pokemon in battle, he can do something that most Pokemon can’t, or at least don’t bother themselves with. Jump. Magikarp Jump focuses on catching Magikarp (obviously), feeding and training them to battle against other trainers in league battles to see who can jump the highest. Players can only train one Magikarp at a time, eventually losing them to either evolution or other random circumstances. There are different types of Magikarp to be caught, and although Magikarp is the star of the game, you will interact with other Pokemon throughout your travels. Good luck trainers, and let the floppiest Magikarp win.
