We hope you have a box dedicated just for special edition Pikachu. The Pokémon Company has announced a new Singing Pikachu to celebrate their 25 year anniversary.
Well, by sing, we mean that it can use the move Sing. This particular Pikachu can use Sing to put opposing Pokémon to sleep. The special opportunity was revealed via the Pokémon Twitter account.
“Pikachu is celebrating 25 years of Pokémon with a song! Though it can’t ordinarily learn the move Sing, this special Pikachu is an exception!
Stay tuned while it practices its melody—we’ll provide details here on Feb 25 about how this Pikachu can join you in #PokemonSwordShield”
The Pokémon will be available for Nintendo Switch owners that have a copy of Pokémon Sword or Shield. Details about how to get one for yourself are unknown at this time, however. More will be revealed on February 25.
This is only one of many things the company is doing to celebrate their 25-year anniversary. They have numerous other events planned, including musical artist Post Malone performing a virtual concert. While Niantic hasn’t announced any special events for Pokémon GO at this time, we fully expect them to do something. Stay tuned.
