Niantic has been going crazy with events for Pokemon Go over the last month or so, and we can expect more and more events throughout the summer. Although the Nintendo press conference at E3 2017 is probably the highlight of today for Pokemon fans all around the world, The Solstice Event also starts today, giving players an increased chance to catch all their favorite fire and ice type Pokemon.
The Solstice Event is celebrating Pokemon Go’s one-year anniversary, and on top of getting an easier chance of catching Pokemon such as Charmander, Cyndaquil, Houndour, Swinub, and Sneasel, you’ll also receive extra XP for throws and you can stock up on eggs in the store at half price.
The Solstice Event starts at 4 PM EST today and runs all the way through until June 20.
