Well, Unown are in Pokemon Go now and the only real way to catch them is with luck. Before people would hack and cheat in order to get these mysterious Pokemon, but for those of you that shy away from that to avoid the ban hammer, you can now catch all of them if you’re lucky enough. The first one you catch has to be purely by luck, as there is no way to track them. They can appear wherever, whenever, and must be caught in order to make the update kick in.

Once you’ve captured your first Unown, you can see your tracker adjust a bit. Each time a Unown is seen on the tracker, it will be blurred out so you don’t really know which letter is around you. As far as we know, every single letter, A-Z, is in the game. The question mark and exclamation point will be released when Generation Three comes to the game, but for now you can only find the first 26.

Once you’ve captured two Unown, you can see the Pokedex change slightly to show which letters you have and have not captured. The letters that you do have will appear, while the missing letters will remain as empty spaces in between. Keep in mind that even with this update, it’s still extremely hard to find and capture Unown. If you want to have 26 letters under your wing, you will have to dedicate a lot of time and some serious effort to make it happen.
