It’s been an exciting week of battling legendary Pokemon. Now that the special event has come to a close, Niantic has announced the results.

The ancient Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza was the winner. This means for the next 10 days (ending on March 16), Pokemon that prefer windy weather will hatch more often from Eggs.

Not only that, but nearby Gyms will be raided by windy Pokemon more often, including Rayquaza. And like with any event, expect double XP for the duration as well.

Unfortunately, this does mean that Kyogre and Groudon are no longer available. No word on when you will see them next, but I’m confident it won’t be the last time.

For now, go out and enjoy your week and a half of catching, hatching, and evolving every floaty poke in the game, while gaining double XP in the process.
